- 11-6-2012
Please enjoy our latest item, a photo report from October 16th, 2012:
The new temporary ice rink in Downtown Disney in promotion of Secret of the Wings was having some finishing touches applied
The chalets contain the equipment and are where you'll buy your tickets
The first trip I had made with visible progress at Earl of Sandwich. Of course, just two weeks later, the restaurant is now soft opened. We'll be there for the grand opening on Friday November 2nd!
Inside Disneyland Park, Redd Rockett's Pizza Port now has a new color scheme, with a red-to-orange gradient, instead of just plain red
I like it, but it still doesn't fit in with the blue and silver color scheme of Tomorrowland
I believe the entrance area has a new color scheme as well
Construction continues on the new Fantasy Faire
Concept art adorns the walls at the former entrance to Carnation Plaza Gardens
Ray Bradbury's Halloween Tree spooks up the day and night outside Pioneer Mercantile
Some facade work in Frontierland
Sally was waiting for Jack and wanted to try scare him when he came out. Hilarity ensued!
My first ride on Haunted Mansion Holiday for the season!
New this year is the dug-up grave of Sparky from Frankenweenie. A nice nod/promotion for another Tim Burton film
With the temporary closing of Troubadour Tavern, the Harbor Galley now serves the delicious stuffed baked potatoes
I really like the barbecue chicken baked potato!
This years Halloween cups
As always, Día de los Muertos is celebrated in Zocalo Park
Signs point the way to the Halloween Carnival at Big Thunder Ranch, an awesome new offering for Halloween Time this year
We're here!
As with previous years, Miss Chris' Cabin becomes the Scare-dy-Crow Shack
Pumpkins and fall colors are everywhere
Inside the Scare-dy-Crow Shack
No one was in here, so Woody was just chillin' with his pumpkin friends
For some reason, they had the Halloween Carnival section closed off, even though there were people still in there. Overcrowding perhaps?
More pumpkin men over on the Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue side
I finally took the time to meet with Merida from Brave!
The wait wasn't anywhere near that long
Merida was a wee bit feisty. Maybe the video camera in her face freaked her out
See for yourself in our video of the Meet Merida experience
The Gas Station restrooms in Mickey's Toontown were getting some work done
Still not too much visible progress at the Fantasyland Theater
The old Princess Fantasy Faire sign is still up
The new color scheme for Redd Rockett's Pizza Port seen from the second level of Innoventions
There's a new exhibit in Innoventions called Nanooze. This is a copy of an exhibit from Epcot's Innoventions
There really is a lot of dead space on the second level. Where there used to be a bunch of video games is just carpet now
New signs guiding guests downstairs to the Innoventions Dream Home, which pretty much makes the new entrance/exit layout permanent
A welcome sign once you get to the Dream Home
The Wreck-It Ralph meet 'n greet was being set-up in the back of the Starcade. It is now open!
I can't believe they actually went ahead and released the John Carter Vinylmation series...
Tomorrowland closed early on this day due to a private event
Back to Big Thunder Ranch, where the Halloween Carnival was open this time!
Pumpkin ticket taker at the entrance
Signs advertise the villains you might get to conjure up at the Conjure a Villain! meet 'n greet
The pumpkin carvers are featured in the Festival Arena this year
Billy Hill and the Haunted Hillbillies perform daily at the Halloween Carnival
Entrance to Conjure a Villain!
Inside the tent
Cruella de Vil is after kids now!
Many sideshow style games and crafts can be found here
And now for a video tour around the Halloween Carnival, including Conjure a Villain!
Now over to Disney California Adventure for a viewing of the Pixar Play Parade!
Thanks for playing with us!
Now for a video tour of the temporary Art of Frankenweenie Exhibition inside the Disney Animation building
A sign at the exit of Disney Animation advertises the sneak peek of Frankenweenie at Muppet Vision 3D
A cool entrance for such a temporary thing
Noticed you can still see the outline of the Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Play It! logo on a couple of boxes outside Stage 17
Spooky lighting inside Muppet Vision 3D for the Frankenweenie preview
Fake movie posters inspired by the film as you exit the theater
Let's partake in a performance of DJ's Dance 'n Drive!
Duffy greets guests in his Pumpkin Patch for Halloween
